Electing Me!   What's in it for you?

First and foremost I should begin by saying that this site is my site and reflects my views and my opinions and no other persons but mine!  It is not intended to be construed as the views or opinions of any other member of the Udall City Council or any employee of the City of Udall.

With the past city council election I was overwhelmed by the number of citizens that supported my endeavor to be a councilman.  I had lived in Udall for the past 12 years and became active in the city only 6 short years ago.

It became overly apparent to me by the number of votes I received that this city was  ready for a change in government.  For a relative newcomer to the city to receive as many votes as I did sent a loud and clear message to those who needed to hear it.

I most sincerely appreciate the community support that I have received during my short time in office.  I, however, am not a politician!  I do not want to be known as a politician.   First and foremost I want to be known as someone with strong moral and ethical beliefs.  Someone who uses the governmental process as a means to get the majority voice heard.  I do not like what politics has become.  Most who serve in a political capacity forget who they were elected by and who's voice they represent and serve.

It becomes your responsibility as citizens of this city to hold your elected officials responsible for carrying out your will.  Without your guidance we cannot effectively do the job you so graciously appointed us to do.

Therefore in order to make a concerted effort to allow the citizens of Udall an opportunity to voice their opinions in an inconspicuous, modern, relatively painless manner I have begun to develop this home page for your use.

Within this site you will find my e-mail address where you can send your complaints and concerns regarding the governing of Udall. You will also find a guest book you may use to post your comments to share with others.  I will also attempt to keep the site up-to-date with new city business, conduct informal polls, and provide interesting useful links to other web sites.  Please help me help you make this city become what you want it to be.  Take an active role in your government by attending all the council meetings that you can.  It is your responsibility to get your voice heard!

Thank You,

John H.F. Adams Jr., Udall City Councilman
